For the longest time—like most folks outside of the UK—I genuinely believed that London Bridge was that stunning piece of architecture with the towers, blue beams, and all the postcard glory. You know the one. The majestic bridge that screams “Welcome to London”? Yeah, that’s Tower Bridge. Not London Bridge.

So, there I was, fresh in London, excited to finally see this iconic landmark in real life. I hopped on a bus to London Bridge, camera gear in tow, ready to capture some slow, cinematic gold. But as I stepped off the bus and looked around, I had one solid thought:
“Wait… where the heck is the bridge?”
Irony at its finest—standing on London Bridge, capturing the beauty of Tower Bridge. A perfect visual for the classic mix-up that had me fooled too!

Turns out, London Bridge is just a bridge. A very practical, modern, no-frills, straight-to-the-point kind of bridge. And the beautiful one I’d been romanticising all these years? That’s Tower Bridge, a few minutes away and apparently, the poster child for mistaken identity.

Despite the plot twist, I turned that mix-up into an opportunity. I started filming from the banks of the Thames, capturing the essence of both bridges from afar. My goal? Create a slow, cinematic tribute not just to the architecture, but to that moment of hilarious disillusionment—and eventual admiration. The shots flow smoothly with subtle transitions,  and natural London ambience, giving the video a calm, observational tone.
This project became more than just a video—it was a reminder that sometimes, the most interesting stories come from the mistakes we didn’t plan for.
